URBANITE
The American Advertising Federation has multiple agencies within the organization and during my senior year of college I was a member of the experiential agency RSVP.
Every year one of RSVP's biggest clients is Urbanite, a dance showcase with various dance groups participating from universities world wide that come together and showcase their work. Urbanite has two main shows: one in Champaign-Urbana and Chicago.
I got the opportunity to have URBANITE as my client and worked closely with founder and director Delayney. My team and I first brainstormed how we can bring URBANITE's culture of dance, music, and culture to life and made sure we explored every option within a budget
In result, we created a cool backdrop for the 360 photo booth and props that related to the motto of Urbanite. My team and I used chalk markers and post-its to write encouraging messages on the bathroom mirrors, and left a packet of post-its with colorful sharpies so people can be interactive and contribute to the messages.

AAF Thanksgiving Campaign
Thanksgiving is the holiday of being grateful for life, opportunities, family, etc. To show more ways of saying thank you, the American Advertising Federation at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign wanted to show thanks through a social media campaign. The campaign focused on acts of kindness from students to professors. My role was contributing innovative ways to express "thanks", collect note cards students wrote to a faculty member thanking them for guidance or being an impact in their lives, and then recording professors reading out loud the messages addressed to them.
It was a great opportunity to be a part of AAF's 2017 thanksgiving campaign and to show how grateful our student body is to have much amazing, encouraging professors!
PUSH Summit 2018
My first year in AAF opened up a whole new world of creativity for me. I was introduced to Adobe Suites and learned the ins and outs of its various apps. My first client was the annual PUSH Summit conference held at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The participants of the conference hailed from the University of Illinois systems, so I focused on a united type of feel to emphasize the conference's mission to fight world hunger.
I had no idea were to start since this was my first big client. CTRL+V agency helped me learn to create a logo with Adobe suites. I wanted to create a logo that fully captivated the whole conference's purpose, which is why I chose to design a world map as the face of the logo. I then added in the necessary logos and hashtags my client wanted on the logo and name tags.
My design was used as the face of the conference as well as on name tags. This was my first piece of client work and I was so grateful for this opportunity to help The University of Illinois and as well showcase my first piece of creative work!

Illinithon
Illinithon Dance Marathon is one of uiuc's largest RSOs on campus and my sophomore year I got the chance to be part of this organization. I was on the marketing team and helped advertise the event through posting on my social media accounts. I also helped film some of footage for the final end of the year video.
As a member of the marketing team, it was important for me to market Illinithon on their social media accounts and as well as mine. The marketing team was the face of Illinithon and our efforts helped raise awareness and bring in donations. Another task was to gather as much footage as possible to campaign for the event.
social media
Her Campus Illinois
During my junior year I was a social media intern for Her Campus Illinois, one of many chapters of Her Campus: an online magazine for college women. As their intern, I handled all social media accounts following a weekly schedule of where to post the most during that week.
I learned to how to develop original content based on what platform I was using to make sure the content will be successful in engaging their current followers and also appealing to new ones. Understanding what Her Campus is all about and understanding what ideas are best per social media medium helped me come up with different ideas to help increase Her Campus' brand awareness across campus.

event management
HC illinois glamourland

As Her Campus Illinois' Executive Event Coordinator, I had the opportunity to plan and execute one of our most well known events: Glamourland. The event was created to raise money for Champaign's Girls On The Run program.
Among my responsibilities I learned how to oversee detailed plans, making sure all items on the checklist are successfully executed within budget and on time. I learned how to manage other departments to make sure our event is being marketed correctly and getting the exposure it needs to make the event a hit.
I also gained knowledge in know how to be a liaison between organizations through conversing with outside partners to help be a part of the event, either through donations, and in exchange their products will also be marketed in our event.
